Progress in Research and Application of Precast Concrete Structures in Coastal Engineering
Wharfs and breakwaters are the typical coastal concrete structures. These structures commonly use precast members for their supporting structure, while, their superstructures usually use cast-in-place concrete structural members. In this paper, the structural characteristics, typical precast connections and detailing in three typical coastal concrete structures(high-pile wharf,sheet-pile wharf, and permeable breakwater on piled foundation)are introduced. Then, the state-of-art studies are conducted on the mechanical behavior, technical standards and application at home and abroad of three typical coastal concrete structures. Finally, the research and application prospects of precast coastal concrete structures are presented.
