Construction Mechanical Behavior Test of Multi-span Steel Corrugated Plate with Reinforcing Ring Arch Culvert
Field test research is carried out against the background of four-span corrugated steel plate arch culvert with each span of 9m.The force and deformation characteristics of different arch spans and key positions of section with or without reinforcing rings are mainly discussed,in the light of the construction process of foam concrete for arch back filling and soil for arch crown backfilling. The main conclusions are as follows:Different arch spans with or without reinforcing ring have little influence on the displacement of the arch culvert, and the deformation of the arch culvert is relatively small as a whole, the maximum is about 4mm.Stress meets design criteria, but arch foot section should be monitored with emphasis.Stresses at middle span and side span are different due to asymmetric backfilling and different backfilling materials. In arch crown backfilling, the stress of steel corrugated steel plate at side span, steel bar and concrete in reinforcing ring are larger than that of middle span, with the maximum difference of 31.06MPa,27.29MPa and 1.93MPa,respectively.The reinforcing ring takes full part in the stress only when the arch crown is backfilled, which can significantly reduce the stress of steel corrugated plate at the arch foot crest position by about 10%of its design.
