Study on Structural Performance of Fiber Reinforced Concrete Precast Tunnel Segment
In order to study the flexural performance, crack resistance, and the impact of the thrust generated by tunnel boring machines on fiber reinforced concrete precast tunnel segments,full-scale tests were conducted on both traditional reinforced concrete segments and fiber reinforced concrete segments, including static loading bending tests and point load tests. The research results show that, from the perspective of design load, fiber reinforced concrete segments have a higher load-bearing capacity compared to reinforced concrete segments. Both types of segments demonstrated similar trends in the point load-displacement relationship curves without evident cracking and were able to withstand the design load.Compared to reinforced concrete segments, fiber reinforced concrete segments exhibit better flexural, crack resistance performance and could replace reinforced concrete in the fabrication of precast tunnel segments.
