Research on Damping Performance of New U-shaped Metal Damper
As the first generation of metal damper,U-shaped metal damper has the advantages of good energy consumption performance,easy access to materials and easy installation.The research status of U-shaped metal damper is described in detail.On this basis,a replaceable U-ring continuous energy-consuming metal damper is proposed,and its structural form,energy dissipation mechanism and design parameters are preliminarily analyzed.The results show that the new damper can achieve the purpose of continuous energy dissipation and replaceable after the earthquake,and has good engineering application and promotion value.
