Research on Replaceable U-ring Energy-dissipating Metal Dampers
A replaceable U-ring energy-dissipating metal damper is proposed,and its mechanical theory formula is derived.Compared with the traditional U-shaped energy-dissipating metal damper based on the translational deformation mode,the new damper deformation mode proposed is translational and rotational,which produces a spatial effect,and then greatly improves its bearing capacity,elastic stiffness and energy dissipation capacity.ABAQUS is used to analyze the damper numerically,and the spatial adjustment coefficient is introduced to consider its spatial effect.The results show that the mechanical properties of the new damper are better than those of the traditional damper,and it is easy to replace after the earthquake.
