Experimental Study on Effect of Iron Tailing on Autoclaved Aerated Concrete
The effects of iron tailings on compressive strength, dry density, dry shrinkage, frost resistance and thermal conductivity of specimens were analyzed by using different iron tailings instead of river sand to prepare autoclaved aerated concrete blocks. The results show that the compressive strength of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks increases first and then decreases with the increase of iron tailings content, and the dry density decreases with the increase of iron tailings content. With the increase of iron tailings content, the drying shrinkage value of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks increases gradually, and the thermal conductivity decreases gradually. When the content of iron tailings is less than 20%,the average quality loss of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks can be reduced. The average strength loss of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks after freezing gradually increases with the increase of iron tailings content.
