In order to explore the seismic isolation performance of viscous dampers in construction engineering, the structural model was established based on the finite element analysis software YJK,and the elastic and elastic-plastic time history analysis of the structure was carried out respectively. The calculation results show that the bottom shear ratio calculated by time history analysis is more than 80%,which meets the minimum structural safety requirements.Under the action of 8-degree fortification earthquake, the interlayer displacement angle of the energy dissipation structure with dampers is basically the same as that of the original structure with x-direction 6% additional damping ratio and y-direction 6% additional damping ratio. The average value of the additional damping ratio in the x,y directions of the structure is 6.05% and 7.31%,respectively.The research shows that the viscous damper is helpful to improve the seismic isolation performance of the structure.
