Fatigue Characteristics of Prestressed Concrete Members Under Freeze-thaw Cycles
In order to study the fatigue characteristics of prestressed concrete members under freeze-thaw erosion, the freeze-thaw cycle tests and the indoor control tests at room temperature under the same curing time were carried out.According to the test results and theoretical calculations, the prestress loss caused by the freeze-thaw cycle is evaluated. The value is the difference between the prestress loss of the freeze-thaw indoor specimen(total prestress loss)and the prestress loss of the normal temperature indoor specimen(prestress loss caused by shrinkage, creep and other factors). The research results show that for the same concrete mix proportion, the total prestress loss of the specimen with small section and no eccentricity is greater than that of the specimen with large section and eccentricity. The total prestress loss and the prestress loss caused by freeze-thaw cycles of the specimens with higher water-cement ratio are larger. The freeze-thaw cycle in the early stage has little effect on the prestress loss of the specimen. The larger the eccentricity is,the greater the prestress loss caused by the freeze-thaw cycle is.The higher the concrete strength, the smaller the prestress loss caused by the freeze-thaw cycle, and it can withstand more freeze-thaw cycles.
