Experimental Research on Splitting Tensile Properties of ECC-NC Bubble Groove Interface
Due to the multiple-cracking and strain-hardening properties of engineered cementitious composites(ECC),the combination of ECC and normal concrete(NC)to form ECC-NC composite structures shows great application prospects.A series of splitting tensile tests were carried out,the splitting tensile properties of ECC-NC bubble groove interface were mainly investigated, and the effects of the casting sequence, concrete strength grade on the tensile properties of the interface were also researched. The test results showed that there was a strong correlation between the concrete strength grade and the splitting tensile strength of the interface, and the influence of casting sequence on the splitting tensile properties of interface was not negligible.Simultaneously, the formula for calculating the splitting tensile strength of bubble groove interfaces between precast NC and post-cast ECC was proposed.
