American Ginseng Industry Development Staus and Strategies in Weihai City of Shandong Province
Wendeng District in Weihai City, Shandong Province,is one of the earliest areas to introduce and cultivate American ginseng in China.The American ginseng from this area possesses high quality due to its unique advantages of geographical environment.Through the interview with farmers and manufacturers, the industrial structure and planting status of American ginseng in this area were analyzed, and the market and technology characteristics, bussiness practice, industial structure and present problems were studied.In the end, the strategies were put forward for promoting the sustainable development of American ginseng industry.
