QTL Analysis of Grain Protein Content in Recombinant Inbred Lines Derived from JM 44/JM 229
The protein content of wheat grain is closely related to the rheological and processing proper-ties of dough. In this study, under three enviroments of Jinan test base in 2020-2021(E1),Jinan(E2)and Jiyang(E3)test bases in 2021-2022,the wheat 55K SNP array was used to construct a high-density genetic linkage map of the recombinant inbred lines derived from'JM 44×JM 229'(285,F2∶6 RILs)for QTL analysis of grain protein content.A total of 2 344 SNP markers were used to construct the genetic linkage map with a total length of 3 349.95 cM,and the average density was 1.43 cM per marker.Through QTL analysis,18 QTLs concerning grain protein content were detected, which distributed on 11 chromosomes:1A,1B,2B,3D,4B,4D,5A,5B,5D,7A and 7B.Qpc.saas.4B-1 was stably detected in all three environments and BLUE value, explaining 3.26%~23.79%of phenotypic variation.Qpc.saas.4D and Qpc.saas.5A were detected in two envi-ronments and BLUE value, explaining 2.42%~11.18%and 2.48%~5.47%of phenotypic variation,respec-tively.The physical location of Qpc.saas.4D coincides with that of wheat dwarf gene Rht-D1b.The new QTL lo-ci Qpc.saas.4B-1,Qpc.saas.4D and Qpc.saas.5A obtained in this study were major genes controlling grain pro-tein content, which had high explanation rates of phenotypic variation. The results above could provide molec-ular markers and theoretical references for quality breeding of wheat.
