Research Progress on Serotyping and Antimicrobial Resistance Mechanism of Salmonella
Salmonella is a common zoonotic pathogen which can cause foodborne diseases.Antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella has become one of the major challenges to global public health safety, and would en-danger public health and food safety seriously. In this paper, the research progress of common serotypes and serotyping technology of Salmonella in recent years, and the antimicrobial resistance mechanisms in veterinary clinics were reviewed. These would provide theoretical foundations for further understanding the dominant Sal-monella serotypes and their resistance mechanisms to common antibiotics, reducing the occurrence and spread of antimicrobial resistance, and preventing foodborne contamination in China,as well as providing references for tracing and prevention of Salmonella infection.
