KASP Marker Detection of Four Powdery Mildew Resistant Genes in Wheat
In order to improve detection efficiency of Pm13,and to know the utilization status of four mildew resistant genes as Pm21,PmV,Pm12 and Pm13 in wheat breeding programs of Shandong Province,KASP marker of Pm13 was successfully transformed by PCR sequencing and primer designing. The KASP markers of the four genes were employed to detect 140 lines and 2 control cultivars of wheat in the 2022-2023 regional trails of Shandong, belonging to high yield group and high quality group. The result showed that none of the four genes were detected in any of the 140 materials, which indicated that these genes were rarely used in wheat breeding of Shandong Province. This study could provide references for KASP marker-assisted selec-tion of wheat powdery mildew resistant genes and promote their utilization in wheat breeding.
