Effects of Bacillus velezensis on Control of Postharvest Soft Rot and Induced Resistance of Peach
In order to clarify the biocontrol effect of Bacillus velezensis Q-84 on soft rot of peach fruits, the inhibition effect of Q-84 suspension on postharvest soft rot of peach fruits and its effects on fruit quality were studied using"Yingshuanghong"peach as experimental material. The activities of four defense-related enzymes including peroxidase(POD),phenylalanine ammonlyase(PAL),chitinase(CHI)and lipoxygenase(LOX)were also determined. The results showed that the treatment of Q-84 suspension could significantly in-hibit the soft rot of peach fruits, inhibit the activity of LOX,induce the increase of POD,PAL and CHI activi-ties,improve the disease resistance and antioxidant capacity, and slow down the decline of peach hardness, but had no adverse effects on peach fruit color, soluble solid and titrable acid contents. In conclusion,B.velezensis had better control effect on soft rot of peach fruits,so it had important application value in the field of biological preservative and preservation after harvest of peach fruits.
