Compatibility of Metarhizium rileyi with Common Chemical Pesticides
To evaluate the compatibility of Metarhizium rileyi Nr5772 with common chemical pesticides, five fungicides(difenoconazole,thiophanate-methyl,tebuconazole,azoxystrobin and pyraclostrobine)and five insecticides(imidacloprid, bifenthrin, acetamiprid, avermectin and chlorpyrifos)were used to study their effects on mycelium growth of M.rileyi by growth rate method. The results showed that the five fungicides al-most completely inhibited the mycelium growth of M.rileyi, indicating the compatibility extremely poor. The EC50 of bifenthrin against M.rileyi was 12 926.61 mg/L showing the best compatibility with M.rileyi.The EC50 of acetamiprid, avermectin and imidacloprid were 724.21,264.60 and 158.49 mg/L respectively, which were far above the regular application dosages in field, and indicated that they had excellent compatibility with M.rileyi.The EC50 of chlorpyrifos was 283.38 mg/L,nearly to the regular application dosage in field, which showed the stronger inhibitory effect on M.rileyi.In conclusion, under the conditions of this experiment, the five fungicides should not be mixed with M.rileyi, while the four insecticides including bifenthrin,acet-amiprid,avermectin and imidacloprid could be mixed with M.rileyi.
