Research on High-Performance Anti-radiation Concrete with Boron
In nuclear power technology, the shielding layer of the reactor is critical to protect against X、γ and neutron radiation.Anti-radiation concrete containing boron is a material that combines radiation shielding and mechanical properties, having effective applicability and economic advantages.Compared to conventional anti-radiation concrete, ensuring the working performance, mechanical properties, and durability of anti-radiation concrete under the application of adding boron materials can be an urgent issue to be solved. This paper started from the aspects of raw material selection, mix design, performance characterization, etc.,using boron glass sand and boron carbide as boron-containing materials, and studied the key technical points that affect boron-containing anti-radiation concrete.A boron-containing high-performance anti-radiation concrete with a slump larger than 200 mm,compressive strength greater than 40 MPa,and a bulk density greater than 3 350 kg/m3 was achieved, which gives a useful reference for the widespread application of boron-containing anti-radiation concrete.
