Deformation and Instability Characteristics of Lower Slope of a Mountain Road and its Countermeasures
Mountain roads, especially in western mountainous areas, are located on steep terrain and complicated geology. When roads were built on steep slopes they were most likely to suffer from steep-slope subgrade and semi-filled and semi-excavated subgrade, causing excavation disturbance to the slopes, easily leading to instability and damage of the lower slopes of the subgrade.Taking the landslide at the lower slope of G227 line K86+610-K86+660 as a case study, this paper systematically studied the deformation and failure characteristics and causes of the soil slope at the lower slope of the highway, evaluated the stability of the landslide section, and proposed some treatment measures and strategies for a particular deformation and failure, thus providing a reference for the western mountain road and similar projects.
