Study on the Rule of Pile Driving and Soil Squeezing on Slopes Based on Transparent Soil Model Test
The transparent soil with sand characteristics was produced by using a mixed liquid of No.15 white mineral oil and n-dodecane and fused silica sand with particle diameter of 0.5~1.0 mm.The pile driving tests at the top of the slope,in rows at the top of the slope and in the middle of the slope were conducted in the model tank. The soil squeezing rule of different pile driving forms in slope environment was analyzed from the tests. The acquired images and data were analyzed and processed using PIVview2C and Surfer11 softwares. The results show that when the pile is drived at the top of a 30° slope, the soil around the pile has a certain deformation, which gradually decreases with the increase of the pile distance.Deformation near the edge of the slope is significantly greater than the side of the back slope.Beyond a distance of 6 times the pile diameter from the top of the slope, the soil squeezing effect is not obvious.
