In May 2022,China issued the Opinions on Further Revitalizing Existing Assets and Expanding Effective Investment,which pointed out the important role of the new round of debt-to-equity swap in revitalizing idle and inefficient assets through market-oriented debt-to-equity swap methods.This article analyzes the unique advantages of market-oriented debt-to-equity swap in resolving financial difficulties of enterprises,sorts out the implementation purpose,main functions,operating modes,and applicable objects of market-oriented debt-to-equity swap,and explores the effectiveness and implementation path of market-oriented debt-to-equity swap in resolving financial difficulties of enterprises.It is expected to provide certain reference value for further playing the role of market-oriented debt-to-equity swap.
