Study on the Effect of Grain Yield on Engel Coefficient of Rural Residents
The output of food crops is not only related to the food security of the country,but also has a great impact on the Engel coefficient of rural residents.The paper first makes a theoretical analysis of the correlation mechanism between the two.Then,it uses the time series data from 2000 to 2021,and selects three variables:grain crop yield,rural residents'per capita disposable income and rural residents'Engel coefficient to study the relationship between them.The vector autoregressive(VAR)model of grain crop yield on rural residents'Engel coefficient is established,and the paper makes a study on the effect of grain yield on Engel coefficient of rural residents.The result shows the effect of grain crop yield on rural residents'Engel coefficient and per capita disposable income is significant.The rate of contribution of grain yield on rural residents'Engel coefficient is higher than the per capita disposable income of rural residents on it.
