Research on the Impact of Digital Economy on Industrial Structure Upgrading
The development of the digital economy has had a very important impact on the upgrading of industrial structure.Based on provincial-level panel data from 2011 to 2022 in China,this study investigates the role of digital economy in upgrading industrial structure.The research results indicate that the digital economy can effectively promote the overall upgrading,advancement and rationalization of the industrial structure,thereby promoting the upgrading of the industrial structure.After robustness testing,the above conclusion still holds.However,heterogeneity analysis shows that the performance of the digital economy is significantly different in the non Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Yangtze River Economic Belt,while it exhibits promoting effect in the central and western regions,and hindering effect in the eastern regions.Further establishing a threshold effect model reveals that the impact of digital economy development on industrial structure upgrading exhibits non-linear characteristics.On this basis,suggestions are proposed to improve digital infrastructure and increase investment in scientific and technological research and development.
