Study on the Spatial Spillover Effect of Transport Infrastructure of Urban Agglomeration on the Economic Growth:Based on the Empirical research of the Urban Agglomeration in the Middle Yangtze River
This paper examines the spatial spillover effect of a regional economic growth model incorporating transportation infrastructure variables.Specifically,it delves into the detailed analysis of the spatial disparities between economic development in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and transportation infrastructure. The findings can be summarized as follows.Firstly, from an economic perspective, there exists a diverse economic pattern within the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.Secondly, despite a gradual increase in transportation infrastructure density in this region, current regional development remains centered around three major cities.Over time, geographically similar areas tend to converge in terms of their level of development.Lastly,we observe that the spatial spillover effect of transportation infrastructure should be significantly stronger than its direct impact.Through our research,we discover that transportation infrastructure not only contributes to regional economic development, but also exerts a profound influence on China's regional economy. It enhances regional efficiency and promotes integration.
