The unbalanced growth of regional economies is an inevitable challenge in the economic and social development.However,the complexity of regional economic development in our country is further compounded by historical particularities.This article focuses on reviewing the regional economic development policies implemented during different historical periods since the establishment of the People's Republic of China,to summarize experiences and lessons learned from historical developments and analyze current challenges,thus providing valuable insights for addressing the existing inter-regional economic imbalances.
