The High-Quality Transformation and Development of the Manufacturing Industry Guided by the Digital Economy
The manufacturing industry is undergoing a digital transition,and now the industry's goal is high-quality development.This is a hot topic of the day.The integration of manufacturing and the digital economy has emerged as a crucial component of"Made in China."This article applies the entropy approach to objectively examine and compute the degree of high-quality development and digital economy development using pertinent data from 2012 to 2021.The findings demonstrate that the manufacturing industry's high-quality development is significantly aided by the digital economy.The results hold up when endogeneity and robustness testing are taken into account.Regional heterogeneity research reveals that the growth of the digital economy can assist manufacturing firms in overcoming barriers to regional development,leading to improved development.
