Measurement and Regional Difference Analysis of Trade Facilitation Level of Provinces Along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor
Measuring the level of trade facilitation of provinces along the new western land-sea corridor and analyzing the regional differences can provide reference for relevant policy formulation and adjustment.Based on the panel data of 13 provinces along the new western land-sea corridor from 2013 to 2021,this paper constructs a comprehensive index evaluation system and uses principal component analysis to estimate the level of trade facilitation in each province. The empirical results show that Sichuan,Inner Mongolia,Shaanxi and Chongqing have a higher level of trade facilitation, among which Sichuan ranks the first and presents a significant growth trend. The trade facilitation index of Guizhou,Yunnan and Guangxi ranks in the middle position, and Yunnan Province has a large fluctuation.Due to geographical constraints, the trade facilitation index of Xinjiang,Gansu,Qinghai,Tibet and Hainan Province is relatively low, especially in terms of transportation infrastructure and financial environment, and the level of trade facilitation has great room for improvement.
