In the face of the rapid arrival of the aging society,China practices the positive view of aging and implements the national strategy of actively coping to the aging population.The continued socialization of the elderly can help them to better adapt to the society and enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age.Education for the elderly is the last stage of lifelong education,and also an important way for the elderly to con-tinue to socialize,which can further meet the needs of self-realization of the elderly group.Under the back-ground of the new era,the Open University should give full play to the advantages of the systematic education,enrich the connotation of education for the elderly,innovate the form of education for the elderly,help the elderly change the traditional view of the elderly through education,and then improve the quality of life,and continue to contribute to social development.
