Preparation and Performance Study of Chromium Free Passivation Coating on Galvanized Sheet
This article investigates the composition of chromium free passivation solution for galvanized steel plates and the effect of passivation process on the coating properties of steel sheets. The optimal passivation solution composition was obtained through various performance tests, including 17 g/L sodium molybdate,105 mL/L acrylic resin,18 g/L sodium silicate,50 mL/L silane coupling agent KH-560,8 g/L thiourea, and 10 mL/L 30%hydrogen peroxide. The optimal passivation conditions were pH=5,passivation temperature was 298.15 K,and passivation time was 25 minutes. The thickness and adhesion of the passivation coating were tested, and combined with electrochemical testing,it was found that the corrosion resistance of the composite passivation coating was stronger than that of the chromate passivation coating.
