The Effect of mixed additives of Bone Glue,Thiourea, and Casein on the Current Efficiency of Copper Electrolysis
This article uses a combination of single factor experiments and orthogonal experiments to explore the effect of mixed additives of bone glue, thiourea, and casein on the current efficiency of copper electrolysis. The current efficiency is calculated under different ratios of additives, and based on this, the optimal ratio of mixed additives is:m(bone glue):m(thiourea):m(casein)=5:4:1,that is,the amount of mixed additives added in 1 L of electrolyte is:10 mg of bone glue.8 mg of thiourea and 2 mg of casein.Under these conditions, the current efficiency can reach up to 98.7%,the slot voltage is only 0.5 V,the cathode plate surface is flat, and the grains are dense.
