Preparation and Bioactivities of the Polymeric Chloramine Compound of the Barbituric Acid
Polymer pellets were synthesized by suspension copolymerization of styrene, chlorine propylene and diethylene benzene. The chloramine compound precursor was prepared by grafting barbituric acid on the polymer chain. The antibacterial pellets were characterized by SEM and FTIR.Two antibacterial beads of porous and nanoscale were prepared by optimization of reactant ratio and pH.It is found that the atolin can regulate the particle and aperture size of the antibacterial material, and diethylene benzene can adjust the surface morphology of the antibacterial material. In the presence of NaCl,the antibacterial material reached the high yield of 95%at pH = 1.The nanospheres had good inhibition on Escherichia coli(E.coli)and staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus).The killing rate of E.coli and S.aureus on 106~107CFU/mL was up to 100%at 20 mg/ml.In 50 mg/mL,the killing rate ofantibacterial beads reached more than 99%.
