Study on the Settling Performance and Flocculent Characteristics of Coal Slurry Water Under the Action of Different Flocculants
Currently, there is a problem of excessive input of flocculants in the flotation process of coal slurry water in China, resulting in low flocculation settling effect, waste of flocculants, and high cost of flotation reagents.Study the settling performance and flocculent characteristics of coal slurry under different flocculant effects from three factors:flocculant type, relative molecular weight of flocculant, and flocculant dosage. The results show that compared with other types of flocculants, anionic flocculants have significant effects on coal slurry sedimentation and supernatant transmission ratio indicators. The larger the dosage of flocculant, the faster the settling speed of coal slurry, the larger the particle size of flocs, and the higher the transmission ratio of the supernatant.Using low-dose chemicals, relative molecular weight is the key factor affecting coal slurry settling, while using high-dose chemicals, both relative molecular weight and dosage are the key factors affecting coal slurry settling.
