Research on the Correlation Between Active Chlorine and Fecal Coliform in Different Wastewater
Active chlorine has specific oxidizing properties, which can reduce enzyme activity in microbial cells, leading to cell inactivation and ultimately microbial death.During the epidemic,a large amount of chlorine containing disinfectants were used to kill viruses, which had a certain impact on the ecological environment. This article selected the fecal coliform group and total residual chlorine content in wastewater during the epidemic as representatives, directly measured the fecal coliform group in different water samples, and measured the total residual chlorine content in individual water samples using the Hash DR300 portable rapid analyzer. It was found that the total residual chlorine content in wastewater has a certain linear correlation with the fecal coliform group.
