Simulation Analysis of Poisoning Deactivation of Methanol Catalysts for Synthetic Gas Production
In order to further explore the causes of catalyst poisoning in the synthesis gas to methanol process, the sulfur poisoning situation of XNC-98 catalyst was analyzed as a case study. The effects of hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, methyl mercaptan, and ethyl mercaptan on catalyst poisoning deactivation were investigated, and further data analysis was conducted to determine that methyl mercaptan and ethyl mercaptan were the main components causing catalyst poisoning deactivation. It is expected that this analysis can provide certain reference and guidance for subsequent process optimization and other aspects.
