Effect of Impurity Element Content on Current Efficiency of Mg-Mn Sacrificial Anodes
In this paper, the corrosion rate and anode efficiency of Mg-Mn sacrificial anode materials with different impurity element contents were tested by SEM,EDS and other analytical methods using immersion weight loss. The test results show that the impurity elements Fe,Si and other elements form galvanic coupling corrosion with magnesium substrate, accelerating the corrosion rate of the alloy, which reduces its anode utilisation rate, resulting in anode efficiency lower than 50%,which is not in line with the requirements of magnesium anode materials.
