Effect of Graphene Modified Sizing Agent lotion on Carbon Fiber
Polyethylene glycol was used as a dispersant, and graphene was added to the epoxy resin lotion sizing agent to modify the sizing agent. The stability of the sizing agent was determined by measuring the particle size, surface tension, and rotational viscosity of the sizing agent.By testing the fiber width, straightness, and wear resistance, the processing performance of the fibers is reflected.Study the effect of sizing agent modification on the mechanical properties of fibers. The results show that the graphene epoxy resin lotion with polyethylene glycol dispersant has good stability, and the fiber is easier to size. The fiber width can be increased by 0.5 mm,the straightness can be increased by l~2 cm,and the amount of fibers can be reduced by 50%to 60%.The mechanical properties of carbon fiber were also improved, especially the tensile strength of the fiber increased by 8%with the addition of polyethylene glycol 2000 in the graphene lotion.
