Preparation and Performance Analysis of PVa-based Flame Retardant Coatings on Building EPS Boards
In order to improve the fire protection performance of buildings,a PVa-based flame retardant coating was designed on the EPS board of buildings, and its performance was tested and analyzed. The results show that carbon dioxide and water vapor are mainly formed in the nitrogen environment, and the residual ratio is 18.5%at 800 ℃.EPS reaches a small LOI value, does not have good flame retardancy, will form melting and a lot of black smoke in the combustion process. The LOI value of EPS/PKC2A3 test was 36.2%,and the UL-94 vertical combustion test judged it to be V0.It can be inferred that PKA coating can improve the flame retardancy of EPS.Compared with the microstructure of EPS/PKA residue,CCT-treated EPS/PKC2A3 formed a continuous and dense surface structure, which inhibited the internal composition and heat transfer process. The research has a good practical effect on the improvement of flame retardancy of building chemical materials and is easy to be popularized.
