Effects of the Application Backwash System to Aromatic Combined Plant
The aromatics combined unit of a petrochemical company is using the adsorption separation process to produce paraxylene(PX).During the period from 2014 to 2020,while bringing huge economic benefits,along with the life aging of adsorbent,performance decline and other problems,resulting in PX purity continued to deteriorate,PX yield continued to decline.In order to improve PX purity and increase PX yield,the company decided to use adsorption tower backwashing system.The purity of PX increased from 99.72%to 99.78%,and the yield of PX increased from 93.5%to 97.6%.After calculation,the annual efficiency increase of the backwash system after its operation is about 43.99 million yuan.
