Experimental Study on the Application of Red Mud Synergic Additive in Flue Gas Desulfurization and Denitrification
As the main waste gas pollutants,SO2 and NOx will cause environmental problems such as acid rain and haze,and pose a great threat to the human body.Red mud is a strong alkaline solid waste with good desulfurization and denitrification properties.Alkaline solid waste red mud is used as absorbent,and additives are added to enhance the absorption of NOx and SO2.In this study,three substances,ferric sulfate,triethanolamine and potassium iodide,were selected as red mud additives to prepare a new absorbent for absorbing SO2 and NOx in industrial flue gas.The experimental results show that the three additives have certain desulfurization and denitrification effects,among which triethanolamine has the best effect,and the NOx removal rate reaches 64%.
