Preparation and Characterization of Battery Grade Iron Phosphate Using Phosphating Slag
Battery grade iron phosphate was prepared from zinc containing phosphating slag using the process of phosphating slag →alkaline leaching → extraction → double decomposition reaction → iron phosphate.Through experiments, the optimal parameters were determined:when the amount of sodium hydroxide added to alkaline leaching(i.e.alkali residue ratio)was 0.65,the phosphate leaching rate could reach 94.8%.When using dual sulfur/P204 extractant and a ratio of 1:5,the extraction rate of zinc can reach 60.44%.When the pH value of the double decomposition reaction is 2,the amount ratio of iron and phosphorus substances in the product is the maximum value. When the w(Zn)=0.00048%,the recovery and utilization rate of phosphate ions reaches 79.44%.
