Advanced Treatment of Coal Chemical Wastewater by Heterogeneous Ozone Catalytic Oxidation Process
Advanced treatment of coal chemical wastewater from a Shaanxi Chemical Co.,Ltd,was conducted by heterogeneous ozone catalytic oxidation. The results showed that the COD of ozone catalytic oxidation tower effluent remained stable below 40 mg/L,the COD removal rate remained above 50%,and the effluent chromaticity value was less than 10.The B/C ratio increased from 0.14~0.15 to 0.36~0.41.The effluent quality reached the standards of recycling water,in addition, the treatment system can operate continuously and stably for a long time, indicated that heterogeneous ozone catalytic oxidation was an economically feasible process for advanced treatment of coal chemical wastewater. The successful implementation and operation of this project also provided certain reference value for the application of heterogeneous ozone catalytic oxidation technology in the field of recycling water.
