Study on Synthesis and Characterization of Copolymer of Isobutyl Vinyl Ether and Maleic Anhydride
Alternate copolymer of isobutyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride was synthesized by solution radical copolymerization.The effects of solvent type,solvent ratio,polymerization temperature,reaction time and feeding method on the yield and characteristic viscosity of copolymerized products were studied.The mixture of maleic anhydride and isobutyl vinyl ether was dissolved in vinyl acetate and added to cyclohexane at 57℃.The alternating copolymer of isobutyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride was synthesized with a yield of over 90%.
