Standardization Selection of Standard Samples for Determining the Content of Fe and Si Elements in Copper Alloys Using Direct Reading Spectroscopy
Compared with low-alloy steel, copper alloys have more types and higher contents of elements, and the interference and self absorption phenomena between elements are more complex, which makes the consistency requirements between the standard substance and the tested sample composition more stringent in testing. The definition of control sample in YS/T482-2022 Methods for Analysis of Copper and Copper Alloys-Spark Discharge Atomic Emission Spectroscopy is a uniform sample with similar chemical composition and microstructure to the analyzed sample, and accurate assignment, which can be used for type standardization correction. But there is no clear definition of what constitutes similar chemical components.Based on the usage characteristics of direct reading spectrometers, combined with the classification of different copper alloys and the requirements for analyzing elements in copper alloys in practical work, this paper explores the standardization method of copper alloy direct reading spectrometers to ensure the accuracy of detection data.
