Preparation of CS/PVA Magnetic Composite Microspheres and Investigation of Their Adsorption Properties for Cr(Ⅵ)in Water
Magnetic Fe3O4 particles were prepared by co precipitation method, and polyvinyl alcohol modified chitosan magnetic composite microspheres(PMCTS)were prepared by crosslinking reaction with glutaraldehyde, chitosan, and polyvinyl alcohol. And the composition, structure, morphology, and magnetism of the composite microspheres were characterized. The effects of microsphere input, initial concentration of Cr(Ⅵ)solution, adsorption time, and temperature on the adsorption performance of PMCTS composite microspheres were further investigated, and the microsphere recovery rate was analyzed.Experiments have shown that when the water contains 30 mg/L of Cr(Ⅵ),adding 0.5 g of composite microspheres to the adsorption system and reacting at 45℃for 70 minutes, the removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ)can reach 98.6%,and the recovery rate can reach 92.5%.Therefore,PMCTS composite microspheres are used for the rapid and effective adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ)in water.
