Research on the Production of Ferric Sulfate Flocculant From Titanium Dioxide Solid Waste by Chlorination Method
The production process of chlorinated titanium dioxide produces a large amount of solid waste, with the highest content of iron compounds in the solid waste. In order to reduce environmental pollution, comprehensively utilize chloride titanium dioxide solid waste, and improve the economic benefits of enterprises, this experiment extracts iron compounds from solid waste to produce iron sulfate flocculant.Through experiments,it was found that adding 25 mL of H2SO4 with a mass fraction of 3%to an appropriate amount of solid waste and reacting in an oven at 70℃for 8 hours resulted in the highest yield of FeSO4 crystals. The best coagulation effect of the iron sulfate flocculant is obtained by taking an appropriate amount of FeSO4,adding 1.5 mL of H2O2 and 2 mL of concentrated H2SO4 at 50℃for 3 hours, and then curing at room temperature for 24 hours.
