PTFE Modified Super Hydrophobic PDMS Decorative Coating and Surface Properties Analysis Decoration
With the development of polymer chemistry, certain requirements have been put forward for the performance of architectural decoration materials.Silicone polymer(PDMS)decorative coating was prepared by alkaline cyanide-free electrolytic bath using carbon steel as test material. The PDMS coating was modified by polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)to form superhydrophobic surface. The surface wettability and corrosion resistance were studied by experiments. The results showed that the wetting angle of PDMS coating increased from 31.6°to 81.5°,and the PTFE modified sample obtained superhydrophobicity. The PDMS coating formed two passivation zones to inhibit the anode reaction and obtained stronger corrosion resistance.PDMS coating has stronger corrosion resistance after PTFE modification than before modification. This research is helpful to improve the surface efficiency of architectural decoration materials, especially the quality of convenience.
