Simultaneous Determination of Arsenic and Mercury in Surface Water by Dual Channel Atomic Fluorescence Method
The dual channel atomic fluorescence method for simultaneous determination of arsenic and mercury in surface water was developed.Using 0.2%potassium hydroxide and 2%potassium borohydride solution as reducing agent and 5%hydrochloric acid,10%thiourea and 10%ascorbic acid as medium, the on-line monitoring was carried out by double-channel atomic fluorometer. The results showed that the linear relationships were good in the range of 1.0~20.0 μg/L for arsenic and 0.10~2.00 μg/L for mercury. The detection limits were 0.125μg/L and 0.012 5μg/L,respectively.The recoveries were 90.6%~109.0%and the precision RSD was 1.48%~3.89%.The method is simple to operate, accurate, efficient and suitable for the determination of arsenic and mercury in surface water.
