Analysis of COD Degradation Methods in Electroplating Wastewater
In this paper, single flocculation method and Fenton oxidation method are adopted to further reduce COD of pretreatment electroplating wastewater.Through testing the COD value of treated wastewater,it is found that the same amount of flocculant FeCl3 can reduce the COD of wastewater up to 79.2%,and c(H2O2):c(FeSO4·7H2O)=4:1 Fenton reagent has the best COD reduction rate of 82.6%.However,a single method fails to reach the water quality standard.Through the joint experiment of flocculation and Fenton oxidation,it is found that there is a good synergistic deposit effect between the two methods, which greatly improves the degradation rate of COD in wastewater.Under the action of Fenton reagent, the COD reduction rate of the four flocculants exceeds 90.0%.It provides some reference basis for the treatment of COD in electroplating wastewater in actual production.
