Study on the Electrochemical Properties of Rare Earth Based Dimeric Sandwich Hybrid Materials
In this study,a pure inorganic europium containing sandwich type polyoxometalate hybrid was successfully synthesized by exploring the bridging effect between lanthanide metal europium and polyoxometalates using conventional synthesis methods. The hybrid has undergone comprehensive characterization, including infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet visible spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, electrochemical testing, fluorescence spectroscopy analysis, and X-ray crystallography analysis. At the same time, its physical and chemical properties in solid and solution states have been thoroughly explored. This study focuses on examining the crystal structure, stability, and ability to maintain stability over a long period of time of hybrid materials. At room temperature, the analysis of solid-state fluorescence properties confirmed the luminescent properties of the hybrid, which are mainly attributed to the unique coordination geometry of europium ions.In addition,in the electrocatalytic test, the hybrid showed significant catalytic activity for the reduction reaction of potassium nitrite, which was confirmed by the significant changes in the oxidation peak and reduction peak currents in the presence of potassium nitrite, thus revealing the potential research value of the hybrid in the field of catalytic applications.
