The development of scale is a multi-stage process,which is also affected by many factors.The deposition of calcium carbonate can be improved by chemical,physical,or biological methods,with varying results.Adding chemical inhibitors to potentially scale-forming water is one of the most effective ways to control crystalline scaling,and there are a number of non-chemical treatment options available,including the use of magnetic,electronic and electrolytic treatment equipment.Since scale formation is affected by the physical properties of the material it forms in,materials can be selected to reduce scale formation.This paper mainly studies the complex problem of calcium carbonate scale formation on heated surface and the possibility of controlling or reducing the formation of calcium carbonate scale.
