Study on the Treatment of Emulsion Wastewater Using Coal Slime,PAC and PAM
In order to study the influence of coal slime on flocculation treatment of lotion wastewater, coal slime was coupled with PAC and PAM to treat simulated mine water emulsion. When the amount of coal slurry used was 2 g,the COD removal rate increased by 16.1%compared to the untreated coal slurry. The measurement of settling time and observation of flocs under a microscope showed that when the dosage of PAM was 2 mg/L,the flocs formed were large and dense, with a fast settling rate. After 52 seconds, the compressed floc volume could reach 5 mL.Due to the adsorption of clay minerals and coal particles in coal slurry,as well as the net capture and sweeping effect of flocs, some organic matter settles with flocs, resulting in a decrease in COD value in wastewater.
