Experimental Study on Treatment of Leachate Wastewater by Potassium Ferrate in Landfill
The treatment of landfill leachate wastewater by potassium ferrate was studied and discussed. The experimental results showed that the treatment effect of potassium ferrate was affected by the dosage of potassium ferrate, reaction time and pH.The removal rates of UV254 and CODcr in leachate wastewater increased with the increase of potassium ferrate. When the addition of potassium ferrate was 3.0 g/L,the removal rates of the two indexes were the highest and did not rise.Within 0~10 min,the outgoing rate of UV254 increased rapidly, and the reaction was basically complete after 10 min. When pH=5,the removal rates of UV254 and CODcr can reach 48.9%and 50.8%respectively.After the reaction, the pH will be increased to a certain extent, and when the termination condition is weak alkaline, the flocculation effect of high iron hydroxide can be greatly enhanced.
